Linux Today

Linux Today is a weblog, a site that collects and centralizes links to pages all over the web that fall into its interest area. Virtually any Linux news can be reliably found at Linux Today (LT). In fact, several different articles covering the same Linux-related event will sometimes appear on the same day on LT's rapidly changing front page. This lets LT readers keep track of all sides of a Linux story from one central page.

Each story consists of a sentence or two, the title of which points to a summary page that includes a longer description, related links, user comments, and a link to the complete story at its source. A subtle advantage of linking only to the summary page from the front page is this; it lets Linux Today editors, and LT readers, keep track of exactly how many times each story was read. The number of reads is included on the front page so popular stories can be easily spotted.

In addition to the stories and links pointing to articles on other sites, Linux Today publishes original features. Recent feature topics include "Join KDE and Open-Source Software in the Fight for the Desktop"; "How-to Become a Linux Billionaire"; "Rant Mode Equals One: Linux One, er , Linux Clone"; and, "Richard Stallman -- Why We Must Fight UCITA".

Users can create personal account at Linux Today, which lets them better control exactly what news they see.

Linux Today is clean, fast, and easy to read. For Linux news, LT is my favorite source.
